“Hope for a Better Tomorrow”
Benefits of Neurodevelopmental Therapy
The brain is the CEO of all our functions (physical, emotional, behavioural, cognitive and learning). For different reasons (lack of stimulation, disability, illnesses, etc.) reflexes can stay active or get activated again (trauma, degenerative diseases, stress, etc), making our brains (and bodies) work in a survival mode, not allowing us to obtain our maximum potential.
Reflexes can be integrated at any age by certain Neurodevelopmental movements, Rythmic Movement Training (RMT) which enhance the plasticity of the brain to create and strengthen the neurological networks necessary to overcome challenges and to assist brain development and maturity. The responses to RMT treatments have shown significant, positive and permanent changes in the foundation of the nervous system.
The benefits that can be obtained depending on the persons’ needs are:
Better muscle tone, posture, balance; Improving coordination and gross motor skills (walking, crawling, running etc.), endurance, strength; Consolidating fine motor skills, hand dexterity; Recuperate digestive and respiratory system; Diminishing seizures; Helps with sleep, relaxation etc.
